Andaz Singapore is one of the most consistently recommended luxury hotels in the city — a Hyatt category-6 property occupying floors 26 to 37 of a striking building in the Kampong Glam district, with panoramic views across Marina Bay, the Heritage district, and the Singapore skyline. Reviewed by Steve Michailidis, a London-based luxury travel advisor and Hyatt Privé and Virtuoso affiliated agent, this is one of the properties he has stayed in twice and books most frequently for clients visiting Singapore. It stands out for its culturally considered design, genuinely complimentary minibar, rooftop bar Mr. Stork with teepee seating, and the 4pm late checkout available through Hyatt Privé — making it the most complete luxury experience in the Kampong Glam and Bugis neighbourhood.

Singapore is easy to explore, thanks to its advanced, clean, and affordable public transport. Choosing a strategic base, like Andaz Singapore, lets you maximise your time discovering the city’s exciting neighbourhoods.
One of the most popular hotels I book for my clients who visit Singapore is Andaz Singapore, a Hyatt category-6 property. Its design, amenities, and location often exceed expectations.
A note on this review: I have stayed at Andaz Singapore twice — first in 2024 and again in spring 2025. Every client I have booked here has enjoyed the experience. When a travel advisor returns to a hotel voluntarily, that is the most honest endorsement there is.
Hyatt Privé perks apply even for a one-night stay. This makes the hotel a great value. The staff excels in delivering personalised service, which enhances the entire experience.

Andaz Singapore: Overview and Location on the Singapore Skyline
Situated from Levels 26 to 37, Andaz Singapore offers a sanctuary in the sky. The guest rooms provide a sense of place with panoramic views of the city and Marina Bay. Each room is thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and style, ensuring a memorable stay at this renowned hotel.

Andaz Singapore Location: Kampong Glam, Bugis MRT and Getting Around
Located in the lively Kampong Glam area, Andaz Singapore offers direct access to the Bugis MRT station. You’ll find a rich blend of cultural offerings, boutique shops, and trendy cafés just steps away.

I like to walk and during my stay here I visited Little India, Suntec City, and as far as the Marina Bay Sands mall area on foot without any problems (other than the humidity!).
ndaz Singapore was the gateway to a wider Southeast Asia journey that included The Sukhothai Bangkok and Cap Karoso in Sumba — both of which I can book with exclusive perks as part of a combined itinerary.
Andaz Singapore Rooms: Views, Design and What’s Complimentary
The rooms at Andaz Singapore are a blend of modern luxury and local charm. Each room is equipped with top-notch amenities, including a Nespresso machine, high-speed Wi-Fi, and a plush king-sized bed. The decor features warm, earthy tones with bespoke furnishings, creating a cozy yet sophisticated atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide stunning views of the cityscape, making your stay an unforgettable experience.

One of the things that I pay attention to and like when staying in a hotel, is the ‘sense of place’ and how it blends in with the local area. There are subtle decorative touches throughout the hotel that reflect local architecture, design, and culture. For example, the yellow panel doors between the bedroom and the bathroom are a nod to the shophouses of Singapore. On level 25 the food & beverage venues are arranged in a way reminiscent of the alleys of the alleys of Singapore too.
In general the room was very comfortable. I like that there is a separate dressing area so that the luggage is out of the way. The bathroom was clean and comfortable and the loo was in a room of its own.
Two features that I really liked were:
- Water tap in the bathroom for filling water bottles (2 plastic reusable ones are provided in room to take away)
- Complimentary flip-flops / thongs / jandals for using by the pool. Branded “Stolen from Andaz Singapore” it would be almost rude not to!
One detail that Andaz brand travellers know and everyone else is delighted to discover: the minibar is entirely complimentary and replenished daily. Snacks, soft drinks, water — all included. At a Singapore five-star hotel where a bottle of water from the minibar can cost $8, this is not a trivial perk.

Andaz Singapore Restaurants: Alley on 25, Mr. Stork and 665°F
Andaz Singapore offers a variety of dining venues, each promising a unique culinary experience. Indulge in the following options:
- Alley on 25: Experience the vibrant street food culture of Singapore from the sky. This multi-cuisine dining area recreates the lively and spontaneous feel of local street dining. In the morning Alley on 25 is used for breakfast, with each of the distinct areas offering a different cuisine served buffet style. Obviously, guests can visit any of them and mix & match from the options available.
- 665°F: A modern steakhouse specializing in premium meats and sustainable seafood, prepared in a Pira Oven, ensuring flavours are sealed to perfection.
- 5 ON 25: Savour refined Cantonese cuisine in a sophisticated setting, perfect for intimate dinners and special occasions.
- Bar Square: The hotel’s communal bar offers a relaxed atmosphere for socialising while enjoying cocktails handcrafted by skilled mixologists.
- Mr. Stork: Located on the rooftop, this bar provides 360-degree views of the city and unique teepee-hut seating, perfect for a memorable evening under the stars.
For rooftop experiences that rival Mr. Stork’s views, Conrad Abu Dhabi’s 74th-floor observation deck is the only comparable perch I’ve encountered — though the teepees are uniquely Singapore.

Andaz Singapore Pool, Gym and Facilities
Andaz Singapore offers more than luxury rooms and dining. The hotel has a state-of-the-art gym. Enjoy a stunning infinity pool with city views. Versatile event spaces are perfect for business meetings, weddings, and social events.
The pool is glorious. Living in London, I appreciated escaping the cold for a swim. I also enjoyed a 4pm checkout as part of the Hyatt Privé perks.
The infinity pool at Andaz Singapore shares the same quality of sky-suspended calm as the pool at Alila Ubud — two very different climates, but the same feeling of being slightly above the world.

What Guests Say About Andaz Singapore
What my clients have said about their stay here:
The Andaz is in a great location for exploring downtown Singapore – there’s direct access from/to the MRT at level B3 (Bugis station) with regular airport services taking about 30 minutes.
Check in to our Heritage View room was speedy, and we were quickly enjoying the excellent views, a huge comfortable bed, large TV, a great selection of amenities, a shower you never wanted to get out of, and a super dressing area to keep your luggage out of the main room.
Breakfast can often be a free-for-all in the bigger hotels but this was not the case here as the restaurant is large and spans four individual areas making it feel ‘un-busy’. There’s a huge range of offerings too so you’ll never have to eat the same thing twice during your stay.
The bar on the reception floor (level 25) has an extensive cocktail menu and it’s here where is where we enjoyed our complimentary drinks offered as part of check-in, before indulging in a couple of Lavender Dream cocktails ahead of walking to the Gardens at the Bay to see the light show.
There are several restaurants to choose from later in the day, and a super trendy roof top bar where you can finish off the evening in an individual teepee, listening to chill out tunes and enjoying the extensive night time views across the city.
All the staff were professional, friendly and approachable; we particularly liked that the ‘green housekeeping’ service was adhered to (often not the case even when selected) and offers a light tidy and minibar replenishment without a full change of linens and towels.
To finish up, the best measure of a hotel is if we’d book here again … absolutely we would, we’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Singapore.
How to Book Andaz Singapore With Hyatt Privé Perks
As a travel advisor affiliated with both Hyatt Privé and Virtuoso, I’ve consolidated all perk details into the dedicated section below. This helps eliminate any repetitive mention of perks and makes the information easier to find:

- Room Upgrade (subject to forecasted occupancy and usually confirmed within 24 hours of travel advisor requesting it)
- Daily Breakfast for two
- Early check-in / late check-out (subject to availability)
- Welcome amenity
Considering booking direct or through an OTA? You’ll lose the $100 credit, complimentary breakfast, and potential room upgrade and 4pm checkout — benefits that are only available through a Hyatt Privé affiliated advisor. Here’s exactly how the booking process works →
A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Book
No hotel is without its quirks, and part of my job is making sure you arrive informed rather than surprised. These are minor points — none of them would change my recommendation — but they’re worth knowing.
Room orientation matters more than you might expect. South-facing rooms have small UV-filtering dots on the windows, installed for environmental reasons to help manage heat and energy consumption. They’re subtle, but if you’re a photographer or particularly attached to unobstructed glass, ask for a north or east-facing room at booking. The Heritage View and city-facing rooms on the upper floors are consistently the most popular among my clients.
The automated blinds. On my first stay, the blinds closed automatically when entering the room — the opposite of what you’d want when you’ve just arrived and the Singapore skyline is waiting outside the window. By my second stay this appeared to have been adjusted. Worth mentioning to the front desk at check-in if views matter to you, which at this hotel they absolutely should.
That’s genuinely it. Two stays, dozens of client bookings, and those are the only notes I’ve accumulated. For a hotel I return to voluntarily, that is the most honest endorsement I can offer.

FAQ
Q: Is Andaz Singapore the best luxury hotel in the city? A: It is among the strongest options in Singapore, particularly for travellers who value design authenticity, neighbourhood character, and a sense of cultural connection over pure grandeur. The Kampong Glam location — culturally rich, walkable, and with direct MRT access — gives it a different energy to the Marina Bay area hotels. Steve has stayed twice and books it more frequently for clients than any other Singapore property, which is his most honest endorsement.
Q: Where is Andaz Singapore and how do I get there? A: The hotel is in the Kampong Glam neighbourhood, directly connected to Bugis MRT station at Level B3. From Changi Airport the journey takes approximately 30 minutes by MRT, making it one of the most convenient airport connections of any luxury hotel in the city. The location also gives easy walking access to Little India, Bras Basah Bugis, Suntec City, and — for the determined — Marina Bay Sands.
Q: What is the complimentary minibar at Andaz Singapore? A: All Andaz brand properties offer a complimentary minibar, replenished daily. At Andaz Singapore this includes snacks, soft drinks, and water — all included in the room rate at no additional charge. At Singapore luxury hotel prices, this is a meaningful saving across a multi-night stay and one of the most appreciated inclusions among Steve’s clients.
Q: What is Mr. Stork at Andaz Singapore? A: Mr. Stork is the rooftop bar on the uppermost level of the hotel, offering 360-degree views across the Singapore skyline with individual teepee-hut seating. It is one of the most distinctive rooftop bar experiences in the city — the teepee format creates an intimate, sheltered atmosphere that contrasts beautifully with the panoramic views. An evening here, particularly at sunset, is worth building the day around.
Q: What are the dining options at Andaz Singapore? A: The hotel has five distinct venues. Alley on 25 is the main dining space, designed to evoke Singapore’s street food alleyways — at breakfast it operates as four separate cuisine stations, each serving a different cuisine buffet-style, making it one of the most varied hotel breakfasts in the city. 665°F is a modern steakhouse. 5 ON 25 serves refined Cantonese cuisine. Bar Square is the lobby bar for cocktails. Mr. Stork is the rooftop bar. Breakfast at Alley on 25 is included with the Hyatt Privé rate.
Q: What perks do you get booking Andaz Singapore through a Hyatt Privé advisor? A: Booking through Steve Michailidis as a Hyatt Privé and Virtuoso affiliated travel advisor includes a $100 USD hotel credit per stay, daily breakfast for two at Alley on 25, a complimentary room upgrade confirmed within 24 hours of request subject to forecasted occupancy, an up to 4pm late checkout, early check-in subject to availability, and a welcome amenity. Hyatt Privé perks apply even for a one-night stay. There are no booking fees.
Q: Is Andaz Singapore good for a stopover? A: Exceptionally so — and one of Steve’s most frequent bookings for clients transiting through Singapore. The Bugis MRT connection makes Changi Airport 30 minutes away, the complimentary minibar means no overpriced minibar charges on a short stay, the 4pm late checkout through Hyatt Privé gives maximum flexibility, and Mr. Stork’s rooftop views make even a single night feel genuinely memorable.
Is Andaz Singapore Worth It?
I’ve stayed here twice. I book it for clients more than any other Singapore hotel. And I still look forward to returning every time the city appears on an itinerary. That is the only honest answer to the question.
What makes Andaz Singapore work at a level that most luxury hotels don’t isn’t the views — though floor 26 to 37 with Marina Bay in the background is genuinely extraordinary. It’s the accumulation of considered decisions: yellow panel doors nodding to the shophouses outside, a minibar that’s simply there and replenished without a second thought, flip-flops that say “Stolen from Andaz Singapore” as if the hotel is in on the joke, a breakfast that recreates four distinct street food cultures in a single room on level 25.
The late checkout through Hyatt Privé is one of the most practically valuable perks of any advisor programme I work with — particularly for travellers with evening flights who want a full day in the city before departing. Combined with the $100 credit and complimentary breakfast, the Hyatt Privé rate transforms an already excellent hotel into an exceptional one.
